ANOTHER birthday

Well. It’s ANOTHER special day.  It’s Paxton’s BIRTHDAY!  My older “brother” is 6 years old today.  Which is like 42 in human years.  Wow – he’s OLD.  But not as old as our human.  I had better stop there – or she won’t let me use her laptop anymore.

Paxton is a really, really, REALLY tolerant dog.  He and Frodo get along GREAT.  He will sometimes tell Frodo off if Frodo is bugging him and then they cuddle together after because they really like each other.  But me?  I can torment him FOREVER and he never tells me off.  Which, well, sometimes I really DO tend to push it with him.  I will lick him over and over.  And he won’t tell me to stop.  At which point my human makes me stop.  At least when she is home…

But you know, in the past year or so, we have really influenced how Paxton behaves.  He barks more.  A lot more than he used to.  In fact, just the other night, he started his quiet “woof” routine at like 2 in the morning.  Our human thought he needed to go out – so she got dressed and took him out.  She doesn’t let us out on our own at that hour because one never knows what creatures might be out there – including porcupines.  Anyway – she took him out and he didn’t NEED to go out – he was just bugging her for fun.  Just like us PONs!!  He never used to do that kind of stuff.  It’s so cool. I think he is a PON wanna be. 

Paxton also likes to take off in the woods.  Our human thinks he is trying to escape us.   The problem is – I always follow him.  You can run but you cannot hide.  I am like Velcro.  Bad Velcro.

So a huge happy birthday to my BIG brother.  And a couple extra licks – just for good measure.  Until our human makes me stop.  Love ya bro!
