Thanks

It's the Thanksgiving weekend here in Canada.  A time to count  blessings and to be grateful for so many things that we often take for granted.  For example, if you are reading this blog, be grateful that you CAN read.  Not everyone can.

If you are reading this on a computer, or tablet or phone - be grateful you have them.  Not everyone does!  And really in some places, people don't even have the electricity to run these devices.

We should be grateful for our food.  We PONs definitely give thanks for food. Any food.  Except maybe lettuce.  And treats. Treats are good.

Be grateful that you have a roof over your head.  And a bed to sleep in.  Even if it is not technically YOUR bed (like when we sneak on our human's bed...)

Be grateful for family and friends - who come to your rescue when you need them.  And who put up with our often bad behavior...

Be grateful for clean water.  Yes, SOME of us are happy to drink from puddles - but clean fresh water is a luxury that not everyone has...

Be grateful for healthcare professionals like doctors and nurses and of COURSE - Vets!  Who help us when we are not feeling well.  And really, for every day we wake up and DO feel well - we should be enormously grateful.

Be grateful for things that make you laugh and smile.  The world has lots of "unhappy" things - but seek out and be grateful for those things that bring you joy.  A beautiful sunrise.  The stars at night.  The smell of the ocean.  A dog who comes back when you call him...

We should be grateful for LIFE - as it really is very short.  Make the most of it.  Every single day.

Happy Thanksgiving no matter where you live.
