Time for some news in the world of dogs...
So did you hear about the K9 Theater in Plano Texas? It opened December 7 - and get this - humans can take their dogs to watch a movie. It is open on certain weekends and offers human and dog friendly snacks. Pupcorn, I would imagine. The space is actually used for private events, so it has a large screen, comfy chairs and a cement floor. Just in case a viewer gets too excited about the movie - the floor is easy to clean. Now they are not featuring new releases at this particular theater right now. They show old classics. I'm sure they must be showing things like Lassie Come Home and Rin Tin Tin. My human doesn't envision that we woud be able to partake of such entertainment. Between me trying to steal everybody's snacks, the FG putting his feet on the chair ahead of him and kissing the humans and Einstein barking out his approval or disapproval of the film ...well we could probably be responsible for shutting down the whole concept. Better that we don't go.
You must have heard the story about Madison, the Anatolian Shepherd. EVERYBODY has seen the photos. Madison is the dog whose family home was devastated by deadly fires in California. And poor Madison refused to leave his property. He stayed there for weeks. Guarding and waiting. When his human was finally allowed to return home, there she found her companion. Waiting. Now that's what I call loyalty....
So guess what the two most popular girl and boy dog names were in 2018? You can get this. Really. Because they are the same as they have been since I was little. Max and Bella. Again. Come on humans. Let's try some new material. Mind you, they say the newest craze is to name your dog after food. Like Waffles and Beans and Muffin. Those are kind of cute, but I don't think I would use Meatloaf. Or Omelet. Or Sandwich....
Meanwhile, Chunky Monkey aka Indi, my niece continues to grow - and she is becoming quite the little mover. Here is a photo from her two-week weigh-in. She is wrapped in a towel because she is sleeping. That's the only way to get her weight. She has places to go and things to see - so she doesn't stay still for long.

Isn't she adorable?! Thanks to her human, Gosia for updating us and sharing photos of the princess.
That's it for today. You know, there are ALWAYS loads of dog stories on the net. And I'm sad to say, that MANY of them are NOT always very happy stories. I COULD share some of them...but then again, nah. I'm not trying to sugarcoat the world...but let's face it - you can easily find the bad stuff if you want to. It's hard to avoid it. But we DO need the good news stories, and as I always say, why turn your back on a biscuit?
Have a good one. Peace and paws up.
