Comic relief

They say that laughter is the best medicine.  It's a pity my human cannot take us to the hospital with her to visit - we could no doubt entertain the entire ward...

Yesterday morning while my human was wolfing down some breakfast, she heard Jaws chewing on something.  He had been involved in Wrestlemania with Velcro dog. He was lying on the floor with SOMETHING in his mouth.  My human looked in his mouth and found a giant wad of hair.  Frodo hair.   Poor Frodo - first he had me trimming his ears and now Jaws is removing random chunks.  Good thing he has a lot of coat.

Well I thought that we PONs were clowns.  But I think I have met my match with Jaws. He truly is a comedian.  Although sometimes he acts like a clown and I don't think he even KNOWS he is funny.  He has this "leaping" thing that he does. Actually it's more of a "leap-pounce."  He'll do it with toys.  He'll do it with Velcro dog.  Heck, he'll do it with a blueberry.  Give him anything new, he investigates it, and then pounces on it.   We'll have to get it on video.

And speaking of comic relief - my human did something yesterday that was NOT so funny in our eyes. She spent a good part of the day at the hospital.  When she got home, she played with us, took us for walks and fed us our supper.  And THEN she said we were all going for a car ride.  Whopeee!  We bounced in the vehicle - all excited about the destination. Were we ever in for a surprise. Did we go to the park? No.  The pet store? No.  A class? No.  Where did my human have the NERVE to take us?  The dreaded Dollar Store.  And why?  All of the blasted Halloween paraphernalia has come in.  So you KNOW what that means...Poor Elroy will get his first taste of the canine holiday attire routine.  Had we known that's what she was bringing back to the vehicle, we would have opened the doors and run for safety.  Too late.  She came back with a BIG bag.  Now this should be interesting seeing as Jaws will not sit still for a nanosecond, let alone while wearing some ridiculous headgear.   Assuming it IS headgear.

Thank you for all you kind wishes and prayers.  Once things stabilize, I'll share more about this latest chapter in our lives.  We honestly appreciate every single positive message. It seems we have had a lot of prayer requests this year!  Hoping the rest of 2016 is a little less dramatic.  Heaven knows - even in stressful times, we canines are always good for smile - and a laugh.

Hope your day has lots of laughs.  And don't forget to smile - it's contagious!
